The past couple of years have been extreme. Below are the 4 paintings that preceded the undertaking of Beauty. The transition is abrupt upon first look. The artworks may seem very different, but gaze long enough and you realize they share my love of mediums and layers. Materials imbue qualities that supersede their observable physical characteristics. These works are no different. The elements at play are light and color. The concepts are patterns and perspectives. They compositions move, fly, undulate, weave, and welcome.
